Photographic Coaching

Photography. It’s a way of looking at the world around you and distilling fleeting moments into pieces of art, instant but eternal.

It’s about what we ‘see’, but there may come a time when we struggle to see, times when we struggle to know where to look. Whether it’s a technical issue or a creative wall, it can be incredibly frustrating, and at worst, stop us from shooting. When this happens we need someone who has been there to reconnect us with our photographic eye and help us trust our instinct again. It’s something I wish I’d had access to along the way.

I’m obsessed with how people see the world, and helping others refine their vision brings me almost as much joy as exploring my own.

I will look at the work you have made and the work you want to be making and help you move forward. First I will review your work and dissect the technical and creative aspects of it with you. We will talk about potential weaknesses and solutions, both technical and artistic. We will look at your influences and what you want to shoot, and I will give you exercises and avenues to explore to lead you in the right direction.

There is no limit in regards to your photographic level, whether you’re a complete beginner (we all were once) or a seasoned pro, I believe I can help you progress.

Shooting portraits has been my bread and butter for over 10 years, and alongside this I have built up a body of other photographic work which you’ll see dotted around my website and my instagram.

I charge £70/hour and can do online or in person sessions.
